1.1. Luggage – stands for personal belongings of passenger packed in bags and suitcases. Luggage is carried only in the luggage compartment of the bus.

1.2. Cargo - stands for personal belongings of passenger which are not packed in bags and suitcases or other things which are not intended for personal use (production, articles, packages, boxes etc).

2.1. The carrier, transporting luggage or cargo in the luggage compartment, takes full responsibility only for its entity but is not responsible for its safety or technical conditions afterwards. Carrier shall have no liability whatsoever for minor or superficial damage of registred Luggage or Cargo, such us broken wheels and handles, lost safety belts and insignicant damages, such as cuts, scratches, distress marks and stains as a result of normal wear and tear during the course of the Journey. The passenger is fully responsible for the hand portable luggage taken to the salon.

2.2. When paying for extra baggage or cargo the passenger should receive a baggage-check. An electronic receipt can be issued on the basis of the baggage-check in the representative offices of Ecolines in Latvia (Riga, Liepaja, Daugavpils), Lithuania (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Mariampole), Estonia (Tallinn). It is forbidden to carry extra baggage or cargo without approving baggage check.

2.3. Every item of baggage and cargo is marked with a sticker having an individual number; a corresponding number of stickers with the same number are attached to the passenger's ticket.

3.1. You can carry with u free of charge:

3.1.1. Hand portable luggage that is taken in the cabin. Maximum weight of portable luggage is 5 kg, size 60x40x20 cm.

3.1.2. 3 items of luggage, the total volume of which is not more than 0.2 m3, weight until 30 kg.

3.1.2.1. One bag size of 50 x 50 x 80 cm.

3.1.2.2. Two bags size of 40 x 50 x 50 cm.

3.1.2.3. Three bags size of 20 x 55 x 60 cm.

3.1.3. Passenger children – child buggy cart, if no other luggage is carried with.

3.1.4. Disabled passengers – wheel chair.

4.1. Any extra unit of luggage is carried only in case of vacant space in the luggage compartment. The availability of free space in the luggage compartment will be determined by the coach driver at the check in taking in to account the amount of the passengers apportioned to each destination city as well as other factors. The Carrier has the right to refuse excess luggage or cargo. If in that case the passenger decides to renounce the journey, the hostess will make an appropriate note on the ticket of the passenger and the passenger has the right to change the departure date for 10% surcharge. This service is available at ECOLINES representative offices only. These tickets are non refundable.

4.2. Extra luggage is charged 10 EUR for any additional unit. If payment is performed in other currency the tariff is determined according to currency rate with equivalent in EUR.

5.1. Ecolines will accept only accompanied luggage / cargo.

5.2. Cargo is subject to carriage only if there is a space in the luggage compartment.

5.4. Cargo exceeding weight or dimensions of that mentioned in p. 5.3. is accepted and charged according to preliminary agreements. This kind of cargo must be registered in advance in the representative offices of Ecolines in Latvia (Liepaja, Daugavpils), Lithuania (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Mariampole), Estonia (Tallinn).

5.5 Bicycles (folded and packed) will be accepted for carriage on the service Riga-Tallin only. Charge 20 EUR.

6.1. The crew is entitled to refuse to carry the luggage or cargo if:

6.1.1. It is unsuitable for carriage because of their weight, size, shape, smell or character. It may imperil to the good condition of the baggage department of the bus or property of other passengers or crew.

6.1.2 They suspect that the baggage or cargo may enforce delays on borders.
